Due to additional funding being secured FECCA is pleased to announce there are additional scholarships available.
The Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) is seeking expressions of interest for the Scholarship Program to attend, and actively participate in, the FECCA 2017 National Biennial Conference – Celebrate. Reflect. Advance: Our Multicultural Australia – in Darwin, NT, on 8-10 October 2017.
Successful recipients will receive free registration to attend the 3 day Conference. They will have access to all Conference sessions (excluding the Gala Dinner), explore issues of interest, discuss their emerging ideas with experienced actors in the sector, network, and establish connections for the future.
Expressions of interest are sought from individuals who are keen to engage with the multicultural sector, and who are otherwise unable to attend the Conference due to financial reasons. We particularly encourage applications from:
- Those who recently entered Australia on humanitarian visas
- Unwaged or those with valid concession cards (particularly Aged Pensioners)
- People living with disability
Please submit a maximum 300 word or 3 minute video expression of interest explaining why you are the ideal candidate for the Scholarship Program, how you would benefit from participating, and how you would apply the experience in your future activities.
